In an earlier Archive entry, we had a look at the 1938 Snow White "Story of" books, which were issued as a boxed set of eight by Whitman Publishing Company of Racine, Wisconsin. The same titles were also published internationally.
In Italy, they were sold individually as supplements to an existing bi-weekly comic book series called Nel Regno di Topolino (In the Kingdom of Mickey Mouse). Same dimensions as the US editions: 7.5" x 11" (19 x 28 cm). Published by A. P. I. Anonima Periodici Italiani, a society controlled by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. Every two weeks, from October 1938 to January 1939, a new "Story of" title would be released. Retail price per book: 1.50 lire.
