1973 Spar Grocers Lenticular Cards - Disney Movee Cavalcade

Following on the success of their 1972 Disney on Parade sticker cards, Spar Grocers in the United Kingdom released another set in 1973. It was called the Disney Movee Cavalcade series which celebrated the Disney Company's 50th anniversary. The 30 card collection featured lenticular 3D images (that "wiggle" when you tilt to and fro). Dimensions: approximately 2.25" x 1.5" (6 x 3.5 cm). Full-color fronts. Black & white unnumbered backs. "© Walt Disney Productions." Snow White, Dopey, and Sneezy were included.





Full set: CROCODILE, DONALD DUCK, DOPEY, DUMBO, EDGAR, GOOFY, GUS & JAQ, HIPPO, JIMINY CRICKET, LADY & TRAMP, LION KING, LITTLE JOHN, MAD HATTER, MERLIN, MICKEY MOUSE, MOWGLI & BALOO, PINOCCHIO, PLUTO, PRINCE CHARMING, QUEEN OF HEARTS, RHINO, ROBIN HOOD, SCAT CAT, SHERE KHAN, SIAMESE CATS, SNEEZY, SNOW WHITE, THUMPER, TURK, and YOUNG BAMBI.




When shoppers at Spar would spend £5, they would receive one random card (in a sealed packet). A Disney Movee Cavalcade fold-out storybook was issued to house the sticker cards. It measures about 8" square and contains an attached 32 page story, Adventures in Disney Starland.
