2012 "Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom" Snow White Cards

Back on February 22nd of this year, a new interactive "game" attraction was officially debuted at Walt Disney World. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom pits Merlin and his newly recruited park guest apprentices against a host of Disney animated villains led by Hades.

Starting at the Main Street Firehouse, guests receive a specialized park map marked with locations for the game (found in every land except for Tomorrowland). There are multiple quests to choose from. Guests also receive a Sorcerer Key card (which activates the Magic Portal game screens) and five randomly selected Spell Cards (used to battle the villains).

The Spell Cards hold various attacks of differing strengths. There are 70 cards in the collection, two of them from Snow White.

2012 DCA Facebook/Twitter Handout

This facebook/twitter promotional flyer was being passed out just the other day by cast members at the Disneyland Resort parking toll booths. Featured on the front side is the Carthay Circle Restaurant. Note that they altered the photo so the center panel of the marquee reads, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs rather than what it actually displays in the park.

Images and info courtesy of Tokyo Magic! of Meet the World.

Flyer measures 9" x 4" and is on glossy paper. It's not thick like card stock but is a little heavier than the paper used for the park maps.

DCA's Carthay Circle Marquee

In a couple of previous posts, we followed the construction and completion of the new Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure park. But there's still a bit more to see.

Back on March 19th, nearly three months before the grand opening, the marquee was just being installed...

In late May, side panels were not yet completed...

But we did see the front panel with the words "Carthay Circle Premiere Cuisine"...

Back panels read, "An Icon Returns"...

On June 4th, with less than two weeks before the grand opening, MiceChat.com featured this shot of the marquee that read "Carthay Circle Premiere" with the "Restaurant" side panels in place...

Then by mid-June it was changed to "Carthay Circle World Premiere" as seen in this shot by Daveland...

TokyoMagic shares this bit of related info in a recent email...
I had sent you a photo in the past [prior to the construction of the Carthay Circle Restaurant] of the "forced perspective" theaters and street at the end of Hollywood Boulevard in DCA. One of the theaters used to have Snow White and the Seven Dwarf on its marquee. I notice a few weeks ago that they removed it!  The marquee now has Fantasia on it instead...
