Gooseberry Pie Recipe & Tin from Italy

The recipe came in a round tin with embossed lettering on the lid.

The limited edition set also included a Prince card. The kit was available during an exhibition in the city of Parma, an event about Walt Disney, cooking, and the publication of the Italian translation of Meyer's book.

Both the English and Italian-language books were edited by Marcello Garofalo.

Italian Postcard-like Prints, c.1950

These vintage Snow White prints were produced in Italy and date from the 1950s. The art for the first two comes from the work of Gustaf Tenggren.

The dwarfs realize the "monster" is really Dopey, from a Tom Wood illustration.

On the back of each is a stamp for the Santiano Art Shop in Turin (Torino). The cards appear to have been cut from a larger sheet.

Special thanks to the Fabio Cassella Collection and to Nunziante Valoroso for sharing these images and information.
