WDCC "Poisonous Plot" Figurine, 2011

"Disguised as an old peddler woman, the sinister Queen stealthily steers her boat through the tall reeds of the swampy water." On board is her poisonous cargo.

This spectacular piece from this year's Walt Disney Classics Collection was sculpted by artist Ruben Procopio. The porcelain figurine is a limited edition of just 750 worldwide and retails for $350 (USD). The witch's hands and basket handle are made of pewter. The oar is wood and the reeds resin. The sculpture stands 7 1/2" tall, 13 7/8" wide and 7 5/8" deep. The piece is set to be released sometime this summer...that means soon!

  4. The figurine is amazing. It is startling how sinister and atmospheric it can manage to be even against the blank white background. An incredible piece!

  6. DSK-- She is a frightening villain for sure.

Tokyo and Connie-- I too will probably "admire from afar", but one is tempted to just hand over his paycheck.

Sheryl and Venus-- Right on! I agree.
