I asked the owner of this the same question, but he did not know. I'm guessing the 1970s, though I haven't yet found it anywhere else to confirm.
I had one in my bedroom in the 80s....so late 70s may be correct. I just picked one up at a yard sale for $5 :)

I found one of these shades at a thrift store. It is in almost perfect shape, it just shows a little wear of where it was hung in the center.I will be listing on ebay soon and I will post the link.
