A Snow White movie blurb published on July 10, 1938 in the Sunday Independent in Ireland.
On the same page was a theatre ad for the film playing at the Capitol in Dublin.
Special thanks to Stephen Doherty from Ireland for his assistance with this post.
Hi Robert, you're more than welcome about the newspaper article. It was great to give the Republic of Ireland a mention in your amazing archive and this is one of the best archive blogs I've ever visited.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the brilliant work!!! 👍
Fun Fact Time: Ireland was completely unaffected by the haunted forest and queen transformation scenes (which originally caused its neighbouring United Kingdom's BBFC to rate 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs' A for Adults) and screened 'Snow White' in its entirety.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Stephen for your support. More from Ireland coming up. :)
