This set of three postcards commemorates the occasion. Each features the same caption on the reverse: "The House of the Seven Dwarfs as built at Olympia, 1938, by Richard Costain Ltd., from the Walt Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Wow, that is really impressive!
ReplyDeleteIt really goes to show what a big impression SWSD made during its initial run back in 1938.
DeleteThis is too, too cool! I wonder what happened to the house and it's furnishings when the exhibition ended? What a great little guest house that would have made for someone's backyard!
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite solidly built. I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that someone still has it in their collection somewhere, that is if they have a large storage facility to house it in. :)
DeleteSurprisingly UN-creepy for the 1930s.
