Here's a look at The Story of Dopey book, one of eight titles published by Whitman (1938) in the "Story of" series. It's worth noting that there's two chapters and they take place after the movie, referring to Snow White as living happily with the Prince "in their Land of Dreams."

In the first part, we follow a "day-in-the-life" of Dopey as he finishes his work at the mine, offers some aid to a baby deer on the way home, falls asleep with a bunny in the cottage, and gets stuck in a tree the next morning.
In the second part, Dopey helps out a family of bluebirds.

ReplyDeleteAlexandre-- I like this series of books too. Real vintage artwork :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the first examples of Disney sequels! Would be great to read the set and see what the Dwarfs got up to after the story we know.
ReplyDeleteLee-- Agreed. At some point, I will probably come across the rest of the set, and I'll certainly let you know.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I hope we will one day get to see all eight volumes!
ReplyDeleteBrian-- You bet. I'm keeping my eyes open for more of them. :)
