1938 "PIC" Magazine Photos from Carthay Circle Premiere

Here on the 78th anniversary of the world premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, we take a look back at a few images shot by photographer Art Carter from that grand evening. They appeared in the March 8, 1938 issue of PIC magazine.

As the caption reads, these two teens arrived at 8 AM to claim their spots on the bleachers.

And here the two girls are that evening surrounded by the rest of the crowd.

    1. A memory of a lifetime, for sure--even if the folks at the time had no idea how big an impact the film would have on the Disney Studio itself, and as a result, on generations of fans to come.
