For my grandmother's 80th birthday, we took her to the Magic Kingdom. As soon as we arrived in the park, we saw Snow White (her all-time favorite princess) walking to her spot to begin signing and taking photos.
My grandmother visited the park with her 3 kids when the park opened but she hadn't met any characters, so we quickly pushed my grandmother's wheelchair in line.
Her view was obscured so she had no idea what she was in line for until we were right in front of the princess and she immediately began to cry.
Afterward, my grandmother grabbed my hand as we were rolling her onto Main Street and said 'I know Snow White is just a character, but she's real to me.
Yes, we agree. Snow White is real for us too. :)
What a cute story; I can't help thinking about my own grandmothers (both of them!), and missing them.
ReplyDeleteSnow White appears to be wearing peachy ("flesh colored") gloves, which is strange. Have you ever seen that before?
I noticed that too Major. I've never heard of the princess cast members wearing flesh-colored gloves before. A little odd, though I would guess it has something to do with hygiene.
