1950s Blanche Neige Decals by Jesco

In the 1950s, Jesco Publishing of Paris-Geneve-Milan, produced this Snow White decal booklet. Product no. 302. Includes a colorful front cover, three inner pages featuring the decals, and instructions on back cover.

1967 Disney Character Decals by Jesco

A Jesco booklet of Disney character decals copyrighted 1967. Published in Paris. Product reference no. S-255/2. The front cover features a Snow White Christmas dinner scene created by Disney illustrator Wolfgang Schafer. Includes four pages of decals with instructions on back cover.

1938 Snow White piano music book published by Salabert of Paris. Quatorzième recueil Mes succès (14th collection - My Successes series). Cover includes a date stamp from 1941.

'Blanche-Neige' Read-Along Record (Claude Nicot)

In 1967, a new Snow White story album was released on the French Disneyland Record label. Catalog no. LLP 310 F. Vinyl 7" disc, 33 rpm. Part of the "Read-Along" (Look, Listen, Read) series. The recording was narrated by Claude Nicot. Snow White was played by Anna Gaylor, the Queen by Monique Martial. Side 1: story; Side 2: story conclusion, Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho and Whistle While You Work (1962 recordings by Christiane Legrand). Total run time is around 13 minutes. The album included a 24-page book with full-color illustrations. Sleeve artwork first seen on the 1966 US-released no. LLP 310.

Le Petit Ménestrel 'Blanche-Neige' Read-Along Records (Dany Robin)

The first Snow White "Read-Along" album was issued in France by Le Petit Ménestrel in 1955. It featured François Périer as the narrator (see earlier post). In 1962, a completely new recording was released with female narrator Dany Robin. Catalog no. ALB 58. Vinyl 10", 33 rpm. White disc labels with blue ink. Musical tone for readers to turn page. Spiral-bound book.

Cast: Sylvine Delannoy (Snow White), Claude Nollier (Queen), Gaëtan Jor (Grumpy, Sneezy, Magic Mirror), François Timmerman, Roland Koessler, Fred Descamps. Musical director Jean Baïtzouroff.

The following year or so, this Dany Robin recording was re-released as a two-record/two-book set which also included the Sleeping Beauty story narrated by Michèle Morgan. No. ALB 60. Gorgeous box artwork!
