The Grumpy and Dopey seen above were taken from a mold design that was originally used as part of a full set of Seven Dwarfs outdoor statues. Made of heavy resin, this set probably dated from the late 1990s. The lack the bright copper finish. Here's a few of them.

And a Snow White figure. This same design was seen in the 1997 Disney Catalog and again in 1999 with entirely different set of Seven Dwarfs.

Hearst Reprint of 1937 Good Housekeeping Serial

Good Housekeeping magazine published a two-part Snow White serial in their November and December 1937 issues. With the massive success of the film, media giant Hearst Magazines decided to reprint the serialization in this softcover format as a limited run, just for its employees. As in the periocical release, the book was illustrated with the inspirational sketches of Disney artist Gustaf Tenggren,

Although the copyright reads 1937, this reprint was probably issued in 1938.

1938 US 'Snow White' Half Sheets

The half-sheet movie poster was intended for display in theatre lobbies. The standard size was 22" x 28", approximately "half" the height of the more common one-sheet. RKO issued two half-sheets for the 1938 US general release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, both are copyright dated 1937.

Poster Style A...

The very hard-to-find style "A" half sheet features Gustaf Tenggren's illustration of Snow White fleeing into the dark forest. These posters typically have fold creases, but this example was rolled instead.

The letter "A" in lower left corner.

Distributed by RKO Radio Pictures.

Sold at auction on July 11, 2008 for $4,481.25.

Poster Style B...

Tenggren's illustration of the princess exploring the dwarfs' bedroom.

The copyright markings in lower left corner appear on either a yellow or white background, depending on how much yellow was used in the printing process. Note that even though this is considered poster style "B", there is no indication of it on the half sheet.

1938 RKO Advert from Italy

An excellent piece of Snow White history, this 24 x 17cm Italian handbill dates from the initial general release of the film. The smaller print on the front cover translates as, "WALT DISNEY'S MASTERPIECE from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale."

Inside the flyer is the story of Snow White, with lively illustrations reinterpreted from Gustaf Tenggren's original work.

Similar to the RKO postcard seen in an early post, the back cover of this handbill reads...
GENERALCINE PRESENTS SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS -WALT DISNEY'S FIRST FULL LENGHT MOTION PICTURE IN MULTIPLANE COLOR - DISTRIBUTED BY RKO RADIO PICTURES - THE WONDER OF WONDERS FOR CHILDREN AND GROWN UPS.
The smaller print mentions that in Venice, Snow White was awarded with the Art Trophy created especially for the film. The fine print at the bottom dates the handbill 28/12/1938.
