2004 Snow White Story on MP3 (Mary D'Arcy)

The Snow White story narrated by Mary D'Arcy was first released on audio cassette in 1992. It was part of the "Read-Along" series and included a 24-page book. The recording would be reissued several more times in different formats, including as a mp3 download. It was available online in 2004 as a "storyette", part of the digital Storyteller Series.

2001 'Snow White' Read-Along Book & Cassette / Compact Disc (Mary D'Arcy)

It's hard to imagine today, yet it really wasn't that long ago when people still listened to audio cassettes. The technology was dying and on its way out, but the small children's niche continued to hang on for a time. The "Read-Along" series was designed to build vocabulary and encourage independent reading in youngsters.

This Snow White recording was first released in 1992. This version dates from 2001. Story narration by Mary D'Arcy. Introduction performed by Corey Burton. Some dialog taken from original soundtrack but mainly from voices actors hired for this production. The set includes a 24-page booklet and cassette tape. Walt Disney Records. Catalog no. 60562-4. ISBN: 0763419559. Sealed in blister pack.

The story was also issued on compact disc with a bonus cassette tape. Catalog no. 60496-2. The booklet was expanded to 32 pages. A couple slightly different packaging versions were produced.

1992 'Snow White' Read-Along Book & Cassette (Mary D'Arcy)

In 1992, a 24-page book and cassette tape combo was released featuring the Snow White story narrated by Mary D'Arcy. It also included a cast of voice actors, plus sound effects and background music. Designed for younger audiences. Heigh-Ho from the movie soundtrack was included at the end. The same content was recorded on both cassette sides making the need to rewind unnecessary. Part of the "Read-Along" collection. Walt Disney Records/Disney Audio Entertainment. Catalog no. 602 464. ISBN: 155723387x.

2009 "Song and Story" CD (Mary D'Arcy)

Copyrighted 2009, the "Songs and Story" audio series featured story versions of classic Disney films. The CD (or mp3 download) included voice actors and sound effects. A simpler style of narration and album artwork were employed for a younger audience. The disc was sold between $5-7; downloads were a bit less.

The Snow White recording was narrated by Mary D'Arcy (intro by Corey Burton). Character dialog taken from the original soundtrack and other sources. In addition, four songs from the film were included on tracks 1-4, story on track 5. Walt Disney Records. Catalog no. D000457102.
