80th Anniversary Dopey Figure by Britto

The 80th anniversary of Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will occur on December 21, 2017, well over a year away. Nonetheless, we're starting to hear about commemorative items that will mark the occasion. One of the first is this large Dopey figure sculpted by artist Romero Britto. Made of resin, it stands 11.3" tall. The piece was introduced to retailers in June; estimated public release is November 2016. Manufactured by Enesco.

Hag Bust by Britto

A colorful Hag Bust by Britto. Stone resin. Measures 5" high x 5.5" long x 4.125 deep. Introduced to retailers in September 2014. Estimated availability is March 2015. Distributed by Enesco.

2014 Britto Grumpy Fig

Artist Romero Britto has designed a new larger-size Grumpy figure which will make a nice companion piece to the 2013 Dopey (seen in earlier post). Stone resin. Measures 8" high. Manufactured by Enesco. Introduced June 2014; estimated availability November 15th. SRP $70.00.

Britto Notepads

Introduced to retailers in June 2012, Romero Britto's Disney notepads are just as bold and colorful as his other pop art. The tri-fold pads contains 75 pages. A heavy cardboard cover locks with a magnetic closure. Measures approximately 4.75" x 3.5. Suggested retail price: $7.

Britto Grumpy Keychain and Luggage Tag

More from the Disney by Britto series. The Grumpy mini-figurine has been transformed into a vinyl keychain. Measures approximately 4.7" (12cm) in length. Comes with a standard key ring and a carabiner. Introduced by Enesco January 2011. Suggested retail price: $10.

Britto Grumpy Collectior Plate

An earthenware plate featuring Grumpy was another of the Britto pieces to be introduced in June 2012. Measures 8" (20cm) in diameter and comes with a plate stand for display. Yet, it's also food, microwave and dishwasher safe. Suggested retail price: $16.

Grumpy makes for a popular--and practical--subject in the work of artist Romero Britto. The old curmudgeon looks pretty good on this 16 oz. earthenware mug. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Measures 4.25" high and 3.75 rim to rim. Introduced to retailers June 2011. Suggested retail price $16.

Snow White by Romero Britto

Artist Romero Britto brings us these high-gloss, stone resin figures of Snow White and Dopey. Manufactured by Enesco, the pieces were first introduced to retailers in June 2012. The Disney by Britto series includes other classic characters as well.

The sitting Snow White measures approximately 4.25" (10.5cm) tall. Suggested retail price: $45 (USD).

Dopey and Grumpy show up in a couple of earlier Britto design interpretations. Also made of resin, these mini-figurines were introduced by Enesco in October 2011, but generally weren't seen on store shelves for sometime after. The UK Disney Store site listed them sometime in August 2012. Figures are approximately 8cm tall. Retail price £14 (GBP). Each sold separately. Still available.
