Snow White at Bangkok Children's Museum
In 2008, a Disney Princess-theme was found at the Children's Discovery Museum in Bangkok. A Snow White diorama included murals on the walls and a dwarfs' mine car full of gems.
The dwarfs' cottage with numbered beds.
A mural of the Old Witch looking in.
More princesses were also represented in other sections of the museum.
Costumed employees were part of the entertainment as well.

Thai Snow White Bus Mural
In 2007, a Snow White mural was seen on the side of the night bus from Krabi to Bangkok in Thailand.

...overpriced, uncomfortable, just for tourists. Just the kind of bus the travel guides warn you against. I was robbed virtually all my money from my daypack which was always in sight on the overhead department on top of my aisle seat. According to the Thai police, it's a very common thing to happen.

Snow White Mural at Ella's Deli
I stopped into Ella's Deli the other day for a hot dog and discovered a Snow White mural. What's Ella's Deli? It's a restaurant, kosher deli, and ice cream parlor located in Madison, Wisconsin. The place is crazy kid-friendly--from an operating 1927 carousel out front to animated figures and whimsical decor inside.
Mechanical clowns, jugglers, robots, and cartoon characters are just a few of the strange yet wonderful things you might see passing over head or adjacent your table.
Located next to a small booth is where the Snow White mural is found. Snow and four of the dwarfs are painted on the wall, but they're gathered around a spinning Ferris wheel which actually sits on a shelf.
Here's a few pics snapped with my cell phone.
A couple of Snow's forest friends join them. The bunny is on a pillar just to the right.
That's not all. If you happen to look up above the mural, sitting on another shelf is a Snow White forest diorama.
I came across this short video on youtube showing the atmosphere of the place...

Now For Something Completely Different - Snow White's Bar
The Snow White Cafe, located at 6769 Hollywood Blvd, is "just steps from the intersection of Hollywood and Highland" in Los Angeles. But it's not necessarily a place you'd expect to find such a Disney icon. Yes, inside you'll see murals paying homage to the famous princess and other characters from the film, but if Snow White was to actually find herself wandering into this place, the atmosphere would probably invoke a response akin to what she experienced in the dark forest...that is, unless she was just interested in finding a spot to sit and watch the tourists. Sounds like the perfect place for this.

The decor is absolutely insane. Like...If an amusement park in Iowa was a total Disney rip-off and had a ride called "Black-Haired Beauty and Seven of Her Smaller Friends", this is what the inside of that ride would look like. Lindsay B.
Part alpine Disney nightmare, part fern bar. I believe the owners were required to retain the Snow White name and decorative remnants by some historical conservation society or something. Linda R.
Snow White is a RELIABLE bar. What you bring to Snow White, Snow White will give back to you. Mandy L.
Cheap crappy food, but it's great if you want to sit and have a pint after a hard day of work. Kelli M.

The menu has very little to say – just one sentence! (This is likely by design, avoiding any conflict with the legal department of a certain Burbank studio.) The menu states that in 1946, Disney studio artists painted the huge original mural (inside, above the front door). Rendered in a recognizably Disney style, it proclaims "We hope we have pleased you!"
Rumor has it that the animators (and Walt, too) used to frequent the café, meeting there to brainstorm while having a light meal or a “cup of joe.” Supposedly, the mural was a gift given as a token of appreciation for the café’s hospitality to studio personnel.

Antithetical Snow White - The Machine Gun Princess
Definition: Antithetical - Being in diametrical opposition.
The Snow White character as portrayed in Walt Disney's 1937 classic film epitomizes the virtues of grace, kindness, gentleness, and above all innocence. It was because of these very qualities that I was drawn to the idea of creating this blog. In fact, these traits are so much a part of this iconic character that it's not surprising to find dramatic statements being made using her image but in ways diametrically opposed to how it's typically represented. The results might be at times a bit disturbing, and one could chalk it up to the state of today's political-socio-economic topography. And yet, this paradoxical imagery does offer an intriguing juxtaposition of ideals that can be surprisingly fresh and alive.
There's probably no better example of this mashup of motifs than in the stenciled "graffiti" found on back alley walls from Zurich to New York...the Machine Gun Princess. The stencil artwork is a takeoff of the famous Patty Hearst photo.
