Each is numbered.
The caps were designed to be used as pieces in a bingo or lottery game. Several different numbered "loteria" cards were available.
A larger collection of 70 Disney bottle caps was issued in Uruguay and is sometimes confused with this series from Argentina.
I like that graphics on these! I also like the use of the characters that were a little more obscure, like Bongo, Lulubelle and Gyro Gearloose! I wonder if this promotion, or one similar to it was repeated in the U.S.? I do remember a Pepsi bottle cap game/promotion in the early seventies that involved Disneyland attractions. I think you had to collect all of the attractions and affix them to a DL map that was provided at the grocery stores. I wish I still had the map and some of the bottle cap liners, but unfortunately, that is one of the things from my childhood that did not get saved!
ReplyDeleteTokyo, I came across a some of the Coke bottle caps with Disneyland attractions from 1969: http://filmic-light.blogspot.com/2015/08/1969-disneyland-coke-bottle-cap.html They are hard to locate, though. Haven't found a complete collection yet.
DeleteSWA, thanks for the link to your past post. I forgot about that one and I even commented on it! As you replied back then, it will probably turn up online....eventually.
