1967 Snow White "Story in Pictures" Promo Album

For the 1967 US re-release of the movie, Disney's Buena Vista Distribution Company issued this Snow White promotional photo album. It is labeled "Story in Pictures". The spine of the booklet is held by two staples. Photos are glued to paper pages, which include typed text blurbs describing the individual scenes. Eight photos total.

On the back of each photo is this Walt Disney Productions copyright stamp.

Another album, similar but larger, was also produced for the 1967 re-release. See it in the next Archive entry.

Red "Disney Classics" Dairy Glass

This vintage Snow White glass tumbler was probably a dairy give-away premium. Snow stands in the center with dwarf heads on either side. Red graphics. Marked "© 1938 W.D. Ent." Measures approximately 4.75" tall x 2.75" across.

According to the 1993 Tomart's Price Guide to Character & Promotional Glasses, this Snow White tumbler was apparently part of a rare dairy premium series called Disney Classics. The total number of glasses in the collection is unknown. Tomart dates the series to 1940-41, probably because it included a Pinocchio glass. Pinocchio, of course, didn't premiere until 1940. However, since the Snow White glass is marked "W.D. Ent. 1938", it clearly was released at an earlier date.

1938 Cereal Bowl Dairy Premium

A Snow White cereal bowl, pictured here in Hake's Official Guide to Disney Collectibles, 2007. It was possibly used as a dairy premium--similar to how the four-line verse glasses were given away in the 1938 promotional campaign. Clear glass with red graphics.

See another cereal bowl (a Post Huskies premium) in an earlier Archive entry, plus a red graphics dairy tumbler in the next post.
