1940 Bertelli Snow White Calendar

Italian soap manufacturer, Bertelli, also produced perfumes and cosmetics. In 1939, Gros Monti printed a 1940 Snow White calendar book for Bertelli. They were given out to customers at hair salons and barbershops. Dimensions: approximately 5.5 x 10 cm; pp. 12. Six color plates inside plus front and back covers. Officially licensed by Creazioni Walt Disney S.A.I.

The color plates from the Biancaneve "calendarietto Bertelli" were reproduced in a 1992 book from LDM edizioni, Barba Capelli e... (Shave and a Haricut...). It tells the story of the many different calendar books that were given out to customers of Italian barbershops and hairdressers.

Snow White X-mas Advent Calendar

An Advent calendar starring Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The 3-dimentional pop-up display has 24 picture windows for celebrating the season. Printed in Denmark. Dates from the late1970s or early '80s.

75th Anniversary Calendar, 2012

It starts! Here's the very first item to be issued commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The actual date of this milestone is still well over a year away on December 21, 2012, but it doesn't hurt to get a jump on things.

Manufactured by Mead, this twelve-month 2012 calender was released just about two weeks ago around August 1st. It's a good size at 13" x 15" (33 cm x 38.1 cm) and is made of a vinyl-like material. Comes in a protective envelope with front and back graphics matching that of the calendar. Suggested retail price of $17.99 (USD). ISBN: 1423813162.

Except for the "forest framing" and maybe some of the background images, no actual "new" drawings seem to have been created for this calendar. Most of the Snow White illustrations are recycled from previous publications. Yet, it still makes for an appealing wall hanging and a nice beginning to the 75th anniversary commemorations. I do hope, however, that we see some fresh and original artwork come out of this once-in-a-lifetime Diamond Jubilee.

1995 Snow White Calendar

Photographer xClairbelx recently came across this factory-sealed Snow White calendar published by Danilo of London. When I asked if I could re-post her image of the cover, she not only agreed but was willing to open it to get photos of each month! So here they are in mint condition after 15 years of being under wraps--the twelve months of 1995.
