Great Walt Disney Festival of Hits - Lobby Cards

Posters and promotional materials for the 1940 The Great Walt Disney Festival of Hits are extremely difficult to come by. A set of eight lobby cards was produced, each measuring approximately 11" x 14" (28 x 36 cm). They included:

• 1 title card (not yet found)
• 3 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (missing one)
• 1 Ferdinand the Bull
• 1 The Practical Pig
• 1 The Ugly Duckling
• 1 Donald's Lucky Day.

1987 Snow White Lobby Cards from the United Kingdom

A set of eight 1987 Snow White front-of-house cards from the United Kingdom. Each contains the 50th anniversary logo. "Released by The Walt Disney Company Ltd. through U.K. Film Distributors Ltd."

50th Anniversary Photobusta Set from Italy

The Italian photobusta (fotobusta) is similar to the US lobby card, yet it's printed on thinner glossy paper and tends to be much larger (from slightly bigger up to nearly the size of a US one-sheet). They almost always come in sets of eight but this too can vary. SOURCE: EMOVIEPOSTER.COM

1992 Blanche Neige Lobby Cards from France

The lobby cards for the 1992 Snow White theatrical re-release in France. Dimension: 28 x 22 cm. Complete set of eight, plus original envelope. Distributed by Warner Bros.

1983 Blanche Neige Lobby Cards from France

Two series of lobby cards were issued for the 1983 French re-release of Snow White. Nine in each set. Some of the frames may have been used in both Série A and Série B. Fourteen of potentially eighteen cards are shown below. Dimensions: 29,7 x 24 cm (just slightly smaller than the 1973 cards). Distributed by Walt Disney Productions.

1973 Blanche Neige Lobby Card from France

For the December 5, 1973 re-release of Snow White in France, two sets of lobby cards were made available to theatre owners--Series A and B. Each card included the Walt Disney Company 50th anniversary logo. Nine cards per set. Dimensions: 24 x 30 cm. Distributed by Walt Disney Productions.

There are no markings on the cards to identify which series they belong to. Below are fifteen out of the eighteen in the collection (still looking for three more).

The lobby sets each came in their own envelope marked Série A or B. Also on the front is displayed the 50th anniversary design.
