2003 Disney Treasures Trading Cards (Chase Set)

Reel Piece of History Card...

In the first series of trading cards from the 2003 Upper Deck Disney Treasures collection, Snow White characters are found in two different subsets...the most unique is the 10-card Reel Piece of History set. These cards each contain two pieces of actual film from the re-mastered movie shown in theaters. So while there's only one Snow White "Reel" card in this set, no two of them are exactly alike. Several unique examples are shown below.

The second subset within the first series is the 10-card Snow White chase set. Each displays a scene from the film on the front and anecdotes from its making on the back.

2003 Disney Treasures Trading Cards (Base Set)

The Disney Treasures collection produced by Upper Deck in 2003 is a huge set of trading cards. It's actually made up of three separately-released Hero/Villain base card series along with all kinds of subsets, special chase cards and promo cards. There were even a few Mickey Mouse bobblehead dolls sold in conjunction with the set. On the whole, the ensemble totals over 400 cards. Yikes! That's a lot of scanning. To keep it sane, we'll stick to our theme here and just focus on cards of the Snow White persuasion.

Here are the base cards, both Heroes and Villains. Each of the three distinct series had its own iconic character theme. The first was Mickey Mouse, followed by Donald Duck and then the Winnie the Pooh gang. Images of these characters are seen running down the right side of each card.

The cards were sold 5 to a pack and in boxes of 24 packs. The Reel Piece of History cards (seen in next post) came one to a box.

2004 "Holiday Treasures" Trading Card by Upper Deck

Have a holly, jolly Christmas with "All Dolled Up" Snow White. This Upper Deck trading card was number 11 of a set of 50 in the 2004 Disney Holiday Treasures series.

According to trading card enthusiast Jeff Allender, the cards in this Holiday Series were originally only sold in boxes that also contained two figurines and five 5-card packs.
