1960 Ceramic Watch Figurines by Wales
Snow White figurine. Hand-painted glazed ceramic. Measures approximately 5" tall. Imported from Japan by Wales. Manufacturer's foil sticker often found on bottom along with another that reads, "© 1960 Walt Disney Productions". These figures were sold in conjunction with the Ingersoll character wristwatches (seen in an earlier Archive entry).

1950s/60s Ingersoll-US Time Snow White Watches
The original Snow White graphic from the 1947 Ingersoll-U.S. Time wristwatch (earlier post) was redesigned circa 1953. She wears her iconic blue bodice, yellow skirt and red cape. This new watch was repackaged and sold in a variety of ways for over a decade. Here it is shown in an oval box, which also included a plastic "Magic Mirror" insert with an easel back. Chrome-luster watch case. Red cloth band. Manual wind. Original retail $6.95.

The watch and gift box are seen here in a store countertop display along with Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and Hopalong Cassidy.
In 1954, the same watch was issued in a box (4.5" x 7" x 1.25") with a cellophane display window. Inside is a perforated punch-out cardboard Snow White figure.

The same cellophane display window box was also issued with a yellow plastic watch and a vacuform Snow White figure. Pictured here in Ted Hake's Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles, 2nd edition, 2007.
It was listed in a 1956 catalog page from Noble Distribution Co.
And a 1956-57 General Merchandise Company publication.
A 1957 Hagn's catalog shows both the chrome and plastic watches.
The chrome metal case version was also issued in a cardboard box (4.25" x 5" x 1.5") with a special interior lid design. Features six of the dwarfs playing music with a separate removable acetate cel-like overlay with an image of Snow White and Dopey dancing. Sold at Hakes on March 19, 2015 for $278.30.
Outer lid reads, "Walt Disney's Snow White Wrist Watch."
Listed in a Harrison catalog and also General catalog, both from 1960.

1950s Ingersoll-Timex UK Watch
In North America, Ingersoll sold its 1950s Snow White wristwatch through their brand, U.S. Time (see next post). In the United Kingdom, it was issued under the Timex name. The graphic design was near identical except for Snow White's dress colors. Note in this UK version, her iconic yellow dress has been changed to a light blue.
There are at least three different known box designs in which the watch was issued in. All are marked with a "Disneyland" logo. This one below dates from circa 1956.

1948/1958 Ingersoll-US Time Snow White & Dopey Watches
In 1948, a Dopey watch was issued by Ingersoll/U.S. Time as part of the Disney 10-piece "Birthday Series"--a collection of children's wristwatches celebrating Mickey Mouse's 20th anniversary. Manual wind. "© W.D.P." See the Timex year 2000 reproduction in an earlier post.
The other characters featured in the series are pictured on the lid of the original box.

About a decade later, circa 1958, a watch was released that featured only the Snow White name, with no character images. It was part of a series that also included Cinderella, Alice, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck.
The watch was sold boxed with a Snow White figurine display, approximately 5" tall. Two versions of the statue were available--one was made from glazed ceramic and later releases were molded plastic. The ceramic figures are seen in these pages from a 1960 Bingham catalog and a 1962-63 Gift Book Co. catalog. Original retail price $6.95. See these ceramic figures in a future post.
And here they are pictured with a couple store displays.
In this 1968 Sears catalog page, we see the price has gone up to $7.95 per watch.
A second wristwatch with a Snow White figurine display was also issued. An image of both Dopey and Snow White shared the watch face. Approximately 1" in diameter. "Walt Disney Production."

The original packaging featured a different graphic design on each side panel. It also came with an outer paperboard protective cover.
