Closer Look at 25th Anniversary Sign from Tokyo Disneyland

As mentioned in the earlier mural post, Tokyo Disneyland celebrated it's 25th anniversary in 2008 and erected this commemorative Fantasyland sign. It shared short historical tidbits (in both English and Japanese characters) on the history of the original Fantasyland rides and the films that inspired them. The park had similar signage for every land and then also for those individual "E" ticket type attractions that were there on opening day.

Here's a nice look at the Disneyland mural artwork originally painted by imagineer Bill Justice back in 1976 for Snow White's Adventures...

1990s Snow White Trinket Box

This is the Snow White collector's box with the "Cast Portrait" mentioned in the earlier post on Disneyland's dark ride mural art. It is fashioned from several layers of thick paperboard and constructed to resemble wood. Measures 5" x 7" and is stamped on the lid with "© DISNEY" and "BOX MADE IN CHINA". Possibly dates from the early to mid 1990s.

The Cast Portrait artwork from the 1955 Snow White's Adventures attraction is reproduced on the inside lid of the box. In addition, there are several other images from the film printed along the outside. Small compartments (or shelves if placed on its side) are affixed within. Also inside is an attached 7 inch yellow ribbon for possible use as an aid to lid removal or to fold over trinkets that would be placed inside as decoration.

This Tale of Snow White and the Jealous old Crone
Now ends up with Joy and Laughter
The kiss of the Prince wakes Snow White on the Throne
And They All Live most Happy Thereafter.
