1938 The Story of Sleepy

Produced in 1938 by Whitman Publishing Company, The Story of Sleepy is one of eight books in the Snow White "Story of" series. Dimensions: 7.5" x 11". 24 pages.

The book includes several short tales about the drowsiest dwarf. In the first, we learn that he once strayed from the cottage and ended up living for two years with a family of bears.

In another, Dopey is fascinated with Sleepy's long beard and ends up braiding it one evening as a practical joke.

At Grumpy's birthday party, Sleepy nods off at the table so Dopey eats his dinner and Doc plays another joke. It's not easy being asleep around this gang of pranksters!

Still hungry from not having a proper supper, Sleepy sneaks a smoked sausage from Sneezy's hidden cache.
