1950s Ferrero Chocolate - Trading Cards

In the 1950s, Italian chocolatier Ferrero ran a promotional campaign featuring premiums of Disney character figurines (trading cards) found inside packages of the candy. A total of 100 cards were produced in the Parata Disney (Disney Parade) series. Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, and the Old Witch were included. Each measures approximately 1.375" x 1.75".

Biancaneve is card no. 19.

The back of the card roughly translates as...'for the complete collection of figurines, ask your supplier for the free Album.'

No. 20 La Strega.

In 1957, a free 16-page Parata Disney bi-fold album was issued with an orange cover. Bound along crease with two staples, it featured 100 spaces to glue your cards to.

Nos.12-20 Sette Nani, Biancaneve, and La Strega.

Other albums were also produced, including a rare green cover edition. Pictured below is the more common 12-page blue cover tri-fold album from 1959.

Completing your 100 "figurine" album would earn you 20 points towards a myriad of available toy prizes.
