May 31, 2012 - Last Day for Snow White's Scary Adventures
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Walt Disney World has just announced the official closing date of Snow White's Scary Adventures. Thursday May 31st will be the last day of operation for this WDW opening-day attraction.
This news makes me very sad. I was hoping that somehow they would change their minds about closing the attraction. I've been on all 4 of the SW dark rides and WDW's is the best, hands down!
TDF-- Yes, it is sad to see SWSA go away. It was an opening-day attraction, and I will certainly miss it. Thanks for the follow.
Tokyo-- I was hoping for the same thing...that they'd change their minds. The WDW attraction is the best. Really feels like we're losing a piece of history. The new Mine Ride and the old SWSA could have coexisted together.
SBB-- Especially since what it's being replaced by is not a another ride but just a meet-n-greet.
I've said this before (probably more than once) but I agree with you about the two coexisting. Not everyone is going to want to go on a roller coaster and there are some people that are not able to. Do they ever consider that? I guess I should just be glad that I was able to experience WDW's Snow White attraction......I never did get to see their Mr. Toad ride. :-(
Kali-- Once it's gone, it probably won't be coming back, but hopefully the new Mine Ride can fill the void.
Tokyo-- I'm glad you had the chance to ride it again this past year. I was there about a year ago and rode it so many time that some of the cast members were getting annoyed at seeing me. :)
I am now super glad that I am going back to Disney World in April. At least I get to ride it one last time. So sad to see it go!! Biggest mistake Disney has made.
Yep! Found out about that in the Disney Parks Blog--I just did a post on it. Isn't it sad? I really liked that ride!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, became a public member of your blog. One good deed deserves another, right? ;)

No! I love this ride! It used to scare me when I was a kid, but it was still fun! Maybe in the future they'll reconsider bringing it back.
