The Scary Adventures in Pins

Here's a look at Snow White's Scary Adventures as presented over the last decade in Disney pins. I'm happy to say that Disneyland Resort in particular has been rather fond of celebrating this original park attraction in its cloisonne form...

Snow White's Adventures
Released: 2001 Tokyo Disneyland.

Details: Part of the TDL Attraction series. Measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/4". Original price 600 yen.


Snow White's Scary Adventures
Released: 2003 (May 4) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Open stock rack pin. Measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/8". Original price $6.50.


Snow White's Adventures "Walt Disney World"
Released: 2004 (November 8) Disney Auctions.

Details: Limited edition 1000. Measures 1.75" x 1.75". Original price $8.50.


Evil Queen at Window
Released: 2004 (November 15) Disney Auctions.

Details: Limited edition 1000. Pin inspired by SWSA attraction. Translucent window is hinged and opens to reveal the Evil Queen. Measures 1 3/4" x 1 7/8". Original price $10.50.


Original Attraction
Release: 2005 (April 24) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Limited edition 350. Surprise release pin from the Original Attraction series. Measures 1 3/8" wide. Original price $12.50.


Snow White Shield
Released: 2005 (October 4) Disney Catalog.

Details: Limited edition 1500. Part of the Fantasyland pin set featuring vintage attraction signage (see earlier post). Designed by Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney. Came in a collectible keepsake box. Pin measures approximately 1" wide. Set sold for $34.95.


Welcome Annual Passholders
Released: 2007 (April 22) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Limited edition 1000 featuring Snow White in front of the attraction facade. Disneyland Resort guests were required to show a valid annual passholder ID in order to purchase the pin. Part of the Welcome Annual Passholders series. Measures approximately 2 1/2" x 1 3/4". Original price $12.95.


Wish You Were Here
Released: 2007 (July 1) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Limited edition 1000. Designed to look like a postcard featuring the Evil Queen. Part of the Wish You Were Here series. Measures approximately 2" x 1 1/2". Original price $10.95.


Mickey's Pin Festival of Dreams
Released: 2007 (July 27) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Event pin from Mickey's Pin Festival of Dreams series. "Where fairy tales come true" on backside. Measures approximately 2" x 2". Original price $6.95.


WDI C-Ticket
Released: 2009 (June 31) Walt Disney Imagineering.

Details: Limited edition 300. Cast member pin. Part of the WDI C Ticket series featuring rides from DL Fantasyland. Back is covered with Sorcerer's hats. Measures 1 3/4" tall x 1 7/8" wide. Original price $9.95.


Chip n Dale Adventures
Released: 2010 (June 24) Walt Disney World; (July 1) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Limited edition of 1800. This pin was part of the Chip and Dale Adventure (attractions) pin series which were sold individually for $9.95 on cards made to look like "Baggage Strap Tags". Features Chip attempting to give Dale an acorn which has been dipped in the potion of sleeping death. It was also sold as part of an eight pin set for $89.95 and which was limited to just 300 in number. Pin measures 1 5/8" tall x 1 3/4" wide.


Dateline Disneyland 1955
Released: 2010 (July 10) Disneyland Resort.

Details: Limited edition of 755. Commemorates the 55th anniversary of the Snow White's Scary Adventures. Pin includes a slider element which moves to reveal "1955" or "55 Years." Measures approximately 2" x 2 1/8". Original price $15.95.


UPDATE: Snow White's Scary Adventures - 40th Anniversary
Released: 2011 (October 1) Walt Disney World.

Details: Limited edition of 1500. Commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Snow White's Scary Adventures at WDW. Part of the anniversary pin series featuring attractions that made their debut at Magic Kingdom Park on opening day back in 1971. Original price $12.95.


  1. What a nice collection of SW pins! I don't have any of them, but there are some that I'm wishing I did have! I have really tried to stop collecting, but your blog often makes me think I should start up again! Enabler! Just kidding.

    I have a SW pin from Tokyo DL (generic SW, not an attraction pin) that I will try to remember to photograph and send you.

  2. I just LOVE pin trading .
    There are so much that we can't know everything, I always discover news .
    The one of the queen at the window is very original.I hope I will find it someday by trading, who knows ?

    Last time, at Disneyland Paris, I've got the pin of "Snow White, the Enchanting Musical" .That's where "trading" become magical to me !
