Back in 1987, these dwarf hand puppets were sold at the theme parks as indicated by a label inside each one that reads, "Disneyland/Walt Disney World".

There were plush dolls too. Unlike the hand puppets, these have feet! Each doll measures approximately 8" in height (hat adds a couple more). Made in Korea.
And for those customers who bought the Snow White Commemorative Passport, they also received a coupon redeemable at Sears for a free dwarf (with the purchase of two others).
The tags on these guys are nearly identical to those found on the hand puppets above except that these were sold at Sears. Retail price: $9.99 (USD).

Aw, Bashful and Dopey translate into plush so well! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhich is actually quite amazing considering plush dolls generally don't look all that much like their animated selves.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I got the puppets through some sort of mail-away offer during the 1987 Snow White release (I know where Dopey is, but the other Dwarfs are Missing In Action).
ReplyDeleteI don't see them on ebay very often, but they do show up now and again if you're looking to find Dopey some friends. :)
